Our approach
Three decisions we make before a piece is woven
Made in small runs
Panels are woven and bags are cut to order. We do not overproduce a season and discount what is left at the end of it.
Built to be repaired
Edges are bound rather than glued and hardware is standardised, so a worn piece can be put right instead of replaced.

How we handle materials, piece by piece
No single claim covers a collection — so here is how it actually works, per product.
Brocade & cloth
Woven on jacquard and hand looms in Guangxi. The blend differs by style — the exact face fabric, lining and trim are listed on each product page. Offcuts from bags are re-cut into cardholders.
Made to be worn out slowly
Panels are cut so the motif sits where it is handled least, edges are bound rather than glued, and the weave is dense enough to hold its shape through years of use.
Hardware
Metal clasps and rings are standardised so they can be replaced. Where a plated or synthetic fitting is used, the product page says so instead of leaving it to guesswork.

Where we draw the line
What JINLOOM does not do
- No vague eco-words. We do not call a synthetic trim “eco-leather”. If a part is synthetic, the product page names it.
- No mass runs of a motif to hit a price point. If a pattern cannot be woven properly in the quantity asked for, we decline the order.
- No burning or dumping of unsold stock to protect a price image. Excess goes to staff, students and craft programmes.
- No green claims without a number. Where we quote a figure on this site, it comes from our own production records.
